Job summary

A Good Certification Group is seeking a Trainee Assessor to join its ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 certification program. The role is remote across Australia, with options for full-time or a 3–4 day week, and a salary negotiable based on experience with a clear progression plan as you become certified.

You'll shadow senior assessors, learn the audit method from opening to closing, and progress toward Lead Assessor across both schemes.

Qualifications

• Two to four years in IT, ideally with security as part of the role.
• Explain security concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Lead with curiosity, accept feedback, and eager to learn.
• Write clearly with attention to detail for boards and accreditation bodies.
• Based in Australia with right to work and willing to pass a police check.
• Nice to have: ISO 27001 lead auditor, CISSP/CISM/CISA, AI exposure.

Responsibilities

• Participate in training to audit ISO 27001 and ISO 42001.
• Shadow senior assessors and learn our audit method from opening to closing.
• Move toward Lead Assessor for ISO 27001 and later ISO 42001.
• Conduct surveillance audits once signed off.
