Job summary

Compliance & Risk Management Recruitment is seeking an ISO Auditor to join an established certification and assurance group in Greater Sydney. You’ll audit against ISO 9001 or ISO 45001, engaging with client teams and delivering clear audit reports.

The role supports hybrid travel, with most work in Sydney and occasional travel across NSW/ACT. Full internal training and mentoring are provided to develop a long-term auditing career.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience with certified management systems, either as an auditor or within an organisation.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with all levels of staff.
• Ability to understand practical operation of management systems in business settings.

Responsibilities

• Planning and preparing audits, including document reviews and audit programs.
• Meeting with senior management, operational teams and frontline staff.
• Observing client operations and assessing management systems in practice.
• Preparing clear, concise and professional audit reports.
• Providing practical and constructive feedback to clients.
• Managing your own audit schedule across client sites, home and the North Ryde office.

Job description

An opportunity is available for an ISO Auditor to join an established and growing certification and assurance organisation, working with a diverse client base across Greater Sydney.

This role would suit either an experienced auditor or someone with strong hands-on experience working with certified management systems who is looking to develop a career in third-party auditing.

The Role

You’ll assess client management systems against internationally recognised ISO standards, primarily:

• ISO 9001 – Quality Management
• ISO 45001 – Occupational Health & Safety

You’ll work across a broad range of industries including construction, manufacturing, mining, logistics, consulting and professional services.

Audits are delivered through a hybrid model, combining remote planning and document review with onsite client visits. Most clients are located within Greater Sydney, with only occasional travel across NSW and the ACT.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and preparing audits, including document reviews and audit programs
• Meeting with senior management, operational teams and frontline staff
• Observing client operations and assessing management systems in practice
• Preparing clear, concise and professional audit reports
• Providing practical and constructive feedback to clients
• Managing your own audit schedule and working independently across client sites, home and the North Ryde office

About You

You don’t necessarily need to already be an experienced third-party ISO auditor.

We’re particularly interested in people who have 3+ years' experience working with certified management systems, either as an auditor or from within an organisation operating under ISO certification.

Ideally, you will bring:

• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001
• Experience with quality, environmental, WHS or integrated management systems
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with people at all levels
• The ability to understand how management systems operate in practical business environments
• Strong organisation and time-management skills
• Clear and concise report-writing capability
• A customer-focused, practical and approachable style
• The ability to work autonomously and manage client relationships
