Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Remote Support Engineer to join our RSS team in Hawthorn, Melbourne, operating in a hybrid work environment. You will provide first-line technical support across Rockwell's hardware and software portfolio, troubleshoot complex automation issues, and contribute to knowledge resources.

You will work with Engineering, Product Management, and Quality teams while developing expertise in controllers, HMIs, and industrial networks.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
Minimum 2 years in industrial automation products or systems
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical problems
Excellent verbal and written communication with a customer-focused approach
Collaborative work style in a fast-paced technical environment

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to customers via phone, chat, and email channels
Troubleshoot Rockwell Automation hardware/software: controllers, HMI, networks
Analyze, reproduce, and investigate complex issues using tools and test environments
Document troubleshooting activities and resolutions in tickets with clear communication
Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Quality and other teams to resolve issues
Contribute to Knowledge-Centered Service with technical articles and best practices
Develop technical expertise and mentor teammates
Support continuous improvement for customer experience and operations
