Job summary

Virtual Staff 365 is seeking an eCommerce Shopify Assistant to manage and update product listings across two online stores. You will clean data, optimise listings and provide top-tier customer email and chat support.

The role requires 2+ years Shopify experience, excellent English, and strong data skills for bulk uploads, with Canva for image edits and basic SEO know-how. Remote, Australia-hours, full-time.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Shopify experience in a similar ecommerce role.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in product formatting.
• Excellent written and verbal English with a warm, friendly communication style.
• Intermediate proficiency using spreadsheets and managing CSV files for bulk uploads.
• Basic understanding of SEO incl. meta descriptions and image alt tags.
• Experience with Canva or basic image editing for resizing and site optimisation.
• Ability to work independently, follow procedures and collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Manage and update product listings within Shopify across two online stores.
• Clean and standardise product data including weights, descriptions, images and variants.
• Create and optimise product listings with accurate meta titles and descriptions.
• Prepare and execute bulk product uploads via spreadsheets and CSV files.
• Support ongoing product uploads from new supplier inventory and liaise with suppliers for details.
• Identify and resolve duplicate or inconsistent listings across both websites.
• Respond to customer emails and handle online chat support within required timeframes.
• Resize and optimise product images for website use while creating SEO-friendly alt text.
• Monitor website listings for errors, missing information, or out-of-stock issues.
• Assist with category organisation, website merchandising, and seasonal product updates.
• Upload and organise invoices or stock documentation.
• Assist with basic competitor and pricing research alongside general ecommerce tasks.
