Job summary

Booth Partners is seeking an experienced Senior SMSF Accountant to join a 100% remote team. The successful candidate will take ownership of an SMSF portfolio and manage it independently from start to finish.

Based in Nowra on the NSW South Coast, Booth Partners offers flexible part-time hours with a pro-rata salary package. You will work remotely from anywhere in Australia, handling complex SMSF accounting and compliance matters with direct access to experienced partners.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ SMSF accounting experience in Australian public practice.
• Strong Class Super experience.
• Ability to independently prepare and finalise SMSF accounts and tax returns.
• Sound understanding of SMSF compliance, pensions, contributions, investments and member reporting.
• Great attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently in a remote role.

Responsibilities

• Preparing SMSF financial statements and tax returns.
• Using Class Super to complete fund accounts and annual compliance work.
• Managing investments, contributions, pensions and member balances.
• Ensuring funds meet their annual compliance and reporting requirements.
• Following up clients, advisers and auditors when information or clarification is needed.
• Ensuring files are complete, accurate and ready for audit.
• Keeping jobs moving.
• Working through complex SMSF accounting and compliance matters in consultation with the partners.
