Job summary

MW Recruitment is seeking an experienced SMSF accountant to prepare SMSF financial statements, tax returns and supporting workpapers, and to review offshore work for quality and accuracy from a fully remote Brisbane-based role.

You will regularly liaise with the ATO, auditors and financial planners, handle compliance and contribution queries, and drive improvements to workflow and processes while being based in Australia with occasional Brisbane office visits preferred.

Qualifications

• Solid SMSF experience in public practice.
• Confident reviewing work and giving clear feedback.
• Strong communication skills and comfortable liaising with the ATO, auditors and planners.
• Familiar with SMSF software such as BGL or similar.
• Must be based in Australia; able to visit the Brisbane office occasionally (preferred).
