Life Without Barriers is seeking a Roster Officer to support our disability operations by managing live rosters, responding to real-time staffing changes and ensuring service continuity while minimising overtime and agency reliance.

This full-time parental leave contract runs through to 7 June 2027 and offers work from home or from our offices across Australia. The role covers Monday to Friday 6am–6pm on a rotating roster, with flexible arrangements possible.

Qualifications

• Must have rostering experience.
• Experience rostering for community services roles is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience managing competing priorities within a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of workforce management principles, HSE, awards and roster optimisation.
• Collaborative approach with stakeholders to optimise workforce for clients.

Responsabilités

• Ensure rosters reflect client service agreements and match workers based on skills, interests and capability.
• Work with stakeholders to understand service agreements, client needs and worker availability.
• Monitor and adjust published rosters to respond to service changes and staff availability.
• Build positive relationships and collaborate with stakeholders who support clients to ensure efficient rostering solutions.
• Routinely utilise rostering systems, technical solutions and documentation systems.
• Respond to ad hoc changes required by clients and workers by adjusting rosters and communicating with stakeholders.
• Participate in cross-stream support activities and forward planning rostering as needed.
• Support roster publication planning and contribute known impacts to Forward Planning team.
