Alignerr Corp. in Australia is seeking a Robotics Simulation Engineer to design, build, and optimize high‑fidelity physical simulations that bridge virtual environments and real robotic systems.

You’ll work at the intersection of robotics, physics, and software engineering, developing pipelines for robot training, testing, and validation, with emphasis on sim-to-real transfer and scalable performance. This is a remote, hourly contract.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with at least one major robotics simulator (MuJoCo, Isaac Sim or Gazebo).
• Proficient in Python and/or C++ in robotics or scientific computing.
• Strong understanding of rigid-body dynamics and contact mechanics.
• Experience creating and validating robot models (URDF, MJCF, or SDF).
• Familiarity with ROS2 and integration with simulation environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-fidelity robot models with accurate kinematics and dynamics.
• Build and maintain simulation environments using MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, or Gazebo.
• Develop end-to-end simulation pipelines for training, testing, validation.
• Tune physics parameters to maximize sim-to-real transfer.
• Integrate simulations with ROS2 for perception, planning, and control.
• Write clean, performant Python and/or C++ code.
• Collaborate asynchronously with researchers and engineers.
• Profile and optimize simulation performance for large-scale runs.
• Document configurations and pipeline architecture.
