Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a visionary Lead Cloud Architect to guide cloud strategy and implementation. This fully remote role focuses on migrating and managing IT infrastructure on AWS and Azure, with a leadership angle to mentor a team of cloud engineers.

You will work with stakeholders across the business to design secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud solutions, while shaping governance policies and best practices for cloud adoption.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in IT infrastructure and cloud computing with architecture focus.
• Extensive experience with AWS and Azure.
• Proven ability to design and implement large-scale cloud solutions.
• Strong networking, security, databases, and DevOps knowledge in cloud contexts.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud architecture strategies on AWS and/or Azure.
• Lead migration of existing on-premises infrastructure to the cloud.
• Define cloud governance policies, security standards, and cost management best practices.
• Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of cloud services and resources.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud engineering teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable cloud solutions.
