Placements24 is seeking a strategic Remote Category Manager focused on indirect spend to join a global procurement team. You will lead sourcing events, negotiate contracts, and optimize supplier performance in a fully remote setting supporting operations worldwide.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in category management with strong analytics, negotiation, and stakeholder collaboration skills, delivering tangible cost savings in IT, marketing, facilities, and services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years in category management or strategic sourcing focusing on indirect spend.
• Proven ability to develop category strategies delivering cost savings and value.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management and risk mitigation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own category strategy for indirect spend areas aligned with business goals.
• Lead RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations for major indirect categories.
• Manage supplier relationships and drive performance improvements.
• Perform market analyses to identify trends, cost drivers and risks.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet category needs.
• Monitor contracts and identify spend consolidation opportunities.
