Job summary

Amazon Australia is seeking a Procurement Category Manager in Sydney to create and implement regional category strategies across multiple indirect spend areas, driving value and reducing risk.

You will lead end-to-end procurement processes, collaborate with internal partners and suppliers, negotiate effectively, and use data analytics to identify market trends and deliver financial benefits for the business.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-time industry work experience.
• Bachelor's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and analyze category data to establish and implement robust regional procurement category strategies that deliver value to the business
• Manage multiple indirect categories for our APAC region that could include Marketing, Professional Services, HR, Security, FM
• Ensure speedy execution of RFPs/tenders across multiple countries from supplier on- boarding, RFx initiation, pre-tender briefings, post-tender interviews and clarifications, proposal evaluations, negotiations and supplier selection
• Provide in-depth knowledge about the supply market and supplier capabilities, technically and geographically to the business.
• Develop mechanisms and metrics to track supplier performance related to delivery, quality, and cost
• Lead business reviews to discuss best practices to ultimately improve supplier performance and strengthen business partnerships
• Innovate within the procurement space, automating and/or improving tools or processes to better support the Procurement Lifecycle
• Provide commercial and procurement advice to internal stakeholders and manage supplier relationships, including the resolution of issues and disputes.
