GE Vernova in NSW’s wind farm near Nimmitabel/Bombala is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain and troubleshoot GE turbines. You will climb turbines, perform routine and unscheduled maintenance, and ensure safety and compliance.

Relocation is not provided; you must be based locally to the wind farm. The role offers a 37.5‑hour week with possible overtime and on‑call work, plus wind turbine training on offer.

Qualificações

• Qualified Electrician or Mechanical trade certification.
• Proficient in fault finding (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic).
• Strong English communication and documentation skills.
• Current unrestricted driver’s licence.

Responsabilidades

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on turbines and site infrastructure.
• Follow GE manuals, specifications, and work instructions to perform tasks and inspections.
• Conduct maintenance, fault finding, and high‑voltage switching operations as required.
• Participate in annual maintenance, retrofit works, major component exchanges, and fault finding.
• Use GE software tools to maintain reports and submit technical queries.
• Ensure compliance with JSA, LOTO, EHS policies, and report issues promptly.
• Make a conformance or non‑conformance decision upon completion of inspections.
• Report errors, violations, incidents, or problems immediately using GE reporting systems.
• Embrace a 37.5‑hour work week, with overtime and on‑call rosters as directed.
