Job summary

Skilled Medical seeks a General Practitioner to join a Northern Territory Aboriginal Health clinic, located about 2 hours driving from Darwin. The GP will manage scheduled patient care, collaborate with nurses, AHPs and remote communities to deliver culturally appropriate services.

The role supports a multidisciplinary team with on-site hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; there is no requirement for on-call duty for GPs, as nursing staff utilise the NT Health DMO on-call service for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Specialist in General Practice required.

Responsibilities

• See scheduled patients for planned care and those referred by nurses and AHPs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and other remote communities to ensure high-quality, culturally appropriate care.
• GPs are not required to be on-call; nursing staff handle emergencies using the NT Health DMO on-call service.
