Job summary

Remote is hiring a Payroll Specialist Lead to join the Global Payroll Operations team. You will own end-to-end payroll processes, ensure data integrity, and collaborate with Finance, Product, and Engineering across international teams.

The role emphasizes asynchronous work, ongoing process improvements, and mentorship of junior payroll staff. You will report to the Manager, Global Payroll Operations, and work in a fully remote setup with a focus on international payroll compliance and KPI-driven

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll processing experience.
• Knowledge of payroll best practices.
• Proficient in Excel/Google Suite.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
• Able to adapt to fast-paced, international work environment.
• Willingness to work largely asynchronously.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Act as true SME for the country within Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, Engineers.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders.
• Process full end-to-end payroll in-house, handle statutory filings, exceptions, approvals, payments and compliance.
• Ensure data integrity and quality.
• Handle payroll journals/reconciliations.
• Focus on KPIs and SLAs.
• Implement and improve payroll processes.
• Mentor and support payroll specialists.
• Back up regional managers during absences.
