Job summary

Remote is seeking a Payroll Specialist Lead to join the Global Payroll Operations Team. You will own end-to-end payroll processes, ensure data integrity, and drive improvements across a highly international, async work environment.

You’ll mentor payroll specialists, partner with Finance, Product and Engineers, and help maintain compliance while delivering accurate, timely payments for a distributed global workforce.

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll processing experience.
• Knowledge of payroll best practices.
• Proficient with Excel/Google Suite.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving.
• Adaptable to fast-paced international environment (asynchronous).
• Productivity-focused and efficiency-driven.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Remote work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for the country in Payroll.
• Manage relationships with Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, Engineers.
• Process full end-to-end payroll in-house or with a provider.
• Ensure data integrity and quality.
• Handle payroll journals and reconciliations.
• Focus on KPIs and SLAs.
• Implement and improve payroll processes.
• Mentor and support payroll specialists.
• Backup regional managers during absences.
