Job summary

Life Without Barriers in Australia invites applications for a Roster Officer on a maximum term full-time contract. You will manage live rosters, respond to real-time staffing changes, and help ensure service continuity while minimising overtime and agency reliance.

You will work 6am–6pm on a rotating roster, with flexible work locations across Australia, including options to work from home. The role requires probity checks and supports disability and community services teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in rostering for disability/community services.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong prioritisation and problem solving in fast paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure rosters reflect service agreements and match workers by skills and availability.
• Adjust rosters in real time to respond to changes and maintain service continuity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand client needs and schedules.
• Monitor and publish rosters while minimising overtime and agency use.
• Maintain documentation and use rostering systems effectively.
• Respond to ad hoc changes and communicate changes to staff.
• Support forward planning rostering with the Forward Planning team.
• Contribute to roster publication planning and service delivery goals.
