Job summary

Telstra Health is seeking First Response Counsellors to join the 1800RESPECT service. These part-time or full-time roles involve trauma-informed support via phone, video, web chat and SMS in a busy contact centre.

You will conduct risk assessments, provide counselling, information and referrals, and connect people to safety through multiple channels. A relevant bachelor’s qualification and current professional registration are required, with onboarding prior to start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree meeting professional registration requirements.
• Current registration with PACFA, ACA Level 3+, AASW, or AHPRA eligibility.
• At least three years of full-time counselling experience post-qualification.
• Current Working with Children Check and onboarding readiness.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk and safety assessments in a fast-paced contact centre.
• Provide trauma-informed counselling, information, referrals, and support.
• Connect clients with appropriate services and pathways to safety.
