Job summary

Alliance Airlines seeks an Airport Manager on a fixed-term, full-time FIFO basis, based at Cape Preston Airport. 14 days on, 14 days off, until 30 July 2027. You will oversee daily operations, lead the airport team, ensure CASA MOS 139 compliance, and be the primary client contact on site.

Responsibilities include managing facilities and GSE, training records, audits, and safety compliance. ARO, AROC and DG certs, plus strong leadership, are essential for success in this remote role.

Qualifications

• Prior airport management or ARO experience at an Australian airport.
• Current Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO), AROC and Dangerous Goods certifications.
• Knowledge of CASA regulations and MOS 139.
• Proven ability to manage teams and third-party suppliers.
• Strong communication, time management and decision-making skills.
• Physically fit and able to pass a mine site medical and regular Drug/Alcohol testing.
• Willing to work in extreme conditions and remote FIFO environments.
• Computer literacy and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of airport operations and facilities.
• Performing the role of Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO).
• Oversight and maintenance of Ground Service Equipment (GSE).
• Ensuring CASA regulations and MOS 139 compliance.
• Managing third-party suppliers including fuel providers.
• Coordinating and maintaining training records for all airport staff.
• Conducting regular inspections of terminals and outer areas.
• Upholding OH&S, safety and environmental compliance.
• Responding to incidents and reporting via AQD system.
• Acting as primary contact during audits, inspections, and emergencies.
