Job summary

Alignerr is seeking an Environmental Engineer to train AI models on real-world environmental challenges. You will craft complex problems, write step-by-step solutions with calculations and models, and audit AI outputs for accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The role is an hourly contract, fully remote, with 10–40 hours per week. Ideal candidates hold a Master's or PhD in environmental disciplines and can clearly communicate technical concepts in writing.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering (env focus).
• Strong fundamentals in aquatic chemistry, wastewater design, air quality engineering, or hazardous waste remediation.
• Able to communicate complex concepts clearly in writing.

Responsibilities

• Design complex engineering problems for AI training across environmental domains.
• Author ground-truth solutions with calculations and models for AI training.
• Audit AI outputs for technical accuracy, compliance, and safety.
• Provide structured feedback to improve model reasoning and reduce failure modes.
