Job summary

Sydney Lifeline Australia is seeking an In-Shift Support – Digital – Remote to monitor and assist digital crisis support staff across the Lifeline network. You will cover breaks, provide real-time feedback, and coordinate responses during 24/7 shifts, including weekends and overnights.

This role requires crisis support experience, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office and MS Teams. Responsibilities include debriefing after difficult calls, completing mandatory reporting, and

Qualifications

• Minimum of 100 hours as Lifeline Digital Services CS.
• Understanding of reflective practice and debrief techniques in Crisis Support.
• Willing to complete LLA training including ISS training and other required training.
• Education in youth work, social work, counselling, psychology or allied health (2 years post accreditation desirable).
• Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check and a Police Check.
• Background in remote service delivery of allied health services (desirable).
• High proficiency with MS Office suite, online meeting platforms (e.g. MS Teams) and accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time practice support and feedback to CSs across the Lifeline network.
• Provide initial debriefing after difficult and high-risk interactions.
• Complete emergency interventions and mandatory reporting requirements.
• Proactively using instant messaging to provide support and direction to CSs on duty.
