Job summary

Lawyers On Demand (LOD) is partnering with a leading national construction and projects business to appoint an experienced Legal Counsel for a 6-month assignment with immediate start.

You will support the legal aspects of large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, draft and negotiate construction and project agreements, and provide commercially focused advice to project teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years relevant PQE in construction, projects or infrastructure law.
• Front-end construction experience: drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction and project agreements.
• Be confident providing commercially pragmatic legal advice to a broad range of stakeholders.
• Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across the business.

Responsibilities

• Support the legal aspects of large-scale construction and infrastructure projects from inception through to delivery.
• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of construction, project and commercial agreements.
• Provide commercially focused legal advice to project teams and business stakeholders.
• Advise on contract risk, procurement and project-related issues.
