HumanAbility is seeking a Communications Coordinator to support the creation and delivery of communications about our work. You will plan, draft and create clear, concise communications across projects and initiatives, collaborating with the Communications team and external contractors as needed.

The role covers internal and external communications including our website, newsletters, events and social media channels, with liaising support to graphic designers, videographers, and website

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism or similar or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• Experience in a Communications team, preferably within a not-for-profit or government sector.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills.
• Proficiency with CMS and social media platforms.

Responsabilités

• Identify, plan and create content for HumanAbility’s communications channels, including social, digital and newsletters.
• Translate complex policy content into plain English for the target audience.
• Draft communication materials with clarity, accuracy and consistency.
• Ensure content is accessible for diverse audiences including industry stakeholders and the public.
• Collaborate with other teams to align communications across our sectors.
• Assist in development of multimedia content, including videos and graphics.
• Observe and follow health, safety and wellbeing policies and guidelines.
