Job summary

HumanAbility is seeking a Communications Coordinator to support planning, drafting and delivery of communications about our work across websites, newsletters and social channels.

You will translate complex policy and workforce content into plain English for diverse audiences, manage internal and external communications, and assist with multimedia content and events. Travel may be required; the role operates under a hybrid model with office and remote work.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in communications or journalism or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a Communications team within not-for-profit or government sector.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
• Experience with CMS and social media platforms.

Responsibilities

• Plan, draft, and create clear communications about HumanAbility's projects.
• Manage internal and external communications including website, newsletters, events and social media.
• Coordinate with contractors such as designers and videographers.
• Ensure content is accessible to diverse audiences.
• Liaise with other teams to align communications.
