Axon is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to help build reliable, scalable cloud platforms from anywhere in Australia. You will work with the SRE and broader engineering teams to ensure high availability and performance of mission-critical services.

You will contribute to incident response, automation, and observability while growing your skills and sharing knowledge across teams. This role offers meaningful work and the flexibility to work remotely within Australia.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in software engineering, SRE, or infrastructure roles.
• Solid understanding of operating systems, preferably Linux.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or similar.
• Experience with Kubernetes platforms like AKS, EKS, or similar.
• Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Go, C#, Java, or similar.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation practices.
• Experience with observability tools (logging, metrics, APM).
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code concepts (Terraform, ARM, etc.).
• Australian government security clearance, or ability to obtain clearance (AUS citizenship) required.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to building and maintaining reliable, scalable, and secure cloud platforms and tools.
• Apply site reliability engineering principles to improve system stability and performance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in distributed cloud-native systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support service reliability and operational excellence.
• Create and maintain documentation to support engineers and improve self-service capabilities.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, learning best practices along the way.
• Continuously develop your skills and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
