Job summary

Precisely is seeking an SRE to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability across CCX, RCX, and HMS. You will bridge software engineering and operations, build automation, and set observability standards to empower teams with reliable platforms.

You will lead incident response, define SLOs, and drive post-incident reviews while collaborating with engineering for secure, compliant deployments in AWS and on-prem environments. Melbourne-based role with remote AI tooling support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• 2-3 years of systems or infrastructure engineering in an enterprise production environment.
• Strong Linux proficiency in multi-site contexts.
• Hands-on IaC with Terraform and/or Ansible.
• Experience deploying/workloads in AWS (EC2, ECS, S3, VPC, IAM).
• Automation scripting in Python or Bash for DevOps tasks.
• Monitoring/alerting systems experience (Datadog preferred).
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, load balancing, and distributed systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline design and deployment automation standards.
• Ability to define SLOs and lead Operational Readiness Reviews (ORRs).
• Cross-functional collaboration with engineering on reliability and observability.

Responsibilities

• Set and maintain reliability standards across CCX, RCX, and HMS.
• Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code, deployment automation, monitoring, and observability tooling.
• Guide CI/CD and deployment standards with engineering teams for reliability and DR readiness.
• Review designs and lead Operational Readiness Reviews for production readiness.
• Lead major incident response with clear stakeholder communication.
• Produce root cause analyses and implement preventive automation.
• Maintain runbooks, reliability backlogs, and monitoring gap knowledge.
• Utilize AI tools for infrastructure code, incident analysis, and runbook authoring.
• Ensure security/compliance requirements including SOC 2 and FedRAMP.
