Job summary

Axon seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to join our cloud platforms and security-focused team. You will build reliable, scalable services, work on on-call incident response, and collaborate with product teams to deliver features with high reliability.

Remote anywhere in Australia, 2–5 years of relevant experience, and strong Linux, cloud, Kubernetes skills are required. We offer competitive pay, bonuses, and leave benefits.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in software engineering, SRE, or infrastructure roles.
• Solid understanding of operating systems, preferably Linux.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or similar.
• Experience with Kubernetes platforms like AKS, EKS, or similar.
• Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Go, C#, Java, or similar.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation practices.
• Experience with observability tools (logging, metrics, APM).
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code concepts (e.g., Terraform, ARM, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Australian government security clearance, or ability to obtain clearance (AUS citizenship) required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to building and maintaining reliable, scalable, and secure cloud platforms and tools.
• Apply site reliability engineering principles to improve system stability and performance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in distributed cloud-native systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support service reliability and operational excellence.
• Create and maintain documentation to support engineers and improve self-service capabilities.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, learning best practices along the way.
• Continuously develop your skills and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
