Job summary

Axon is seeking a Software/SRE Engineer to join the remote Australia team. You will contribute to reliable, scalable cloud platforms and help ensure service reliability across the engineering org. The role emphasizes SRE principles, incident response, and continuous learning.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in software engineering or SRE, Linux, cloud experience (Azure/AWS), and Kubernetes tooling. Security clearance or AUS citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in software engineering, SRE, or infrastructure.
• Solid Linux knowledge and cloud experience (Azure / AWS).
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python/Go/Java/C#).
• Familiar with CI/CD and automation practices; observability tooling.
• Experience with Kubernetes platforms (AKS/EKS) and IaC (Terraform/ARM).
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills; AU citizenship or clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure cloud platforms and tools.
• Apply site reliability engineering principles to improve stability and performance.
• Write clean, maintainable code and support distributed cloud-native systems.
• Troubleshoot and debug incidents; participate in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve service reliability.
• Create and maintain documentation for self-service capabilities.
