Job summary

Hunter New England Local Health District is seeking experienced Clinical Coders to join a dedicated team at John Hunter Hospital. You will code episodes across multiple hospitals, applying ICD-10-AM and ACHI within Australian Coding Standards, ensuring accuracy and quality indicators.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of ICD-10-AM & ACHI and Australian Coding Standards coding qualification with Australian coding experience.
• Experience across a broad range of specialties with Australian coding experience.
• Willingness to undertake an Advanced qualification or have extensive experience across a broad range of specialties.

Responsibilities

• Code episodes for John Hunter, Belmont, and Tomaree hospitals using ICD-10-AM.
• Correct coding errors, queries, and quality indicators (PICQ).
• Support the coding manager and educator in quality assurance and training.
