Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Climate Data Specialists to shape how AI reasons about climate and the natural world. This is a remote, hourly contract for researchers with advanced degrees, offering flexible hours and full training support.

You will design and solve complex environmental science problems, apply climate expertise, and review AI responses for scientific rigor. Ideal candidates hold a Master’s or PhD in Environmental Science, Climate Science, or Ecology, are fluent in English, and can work

Qualifications

• Hold a Master's or PhD in Environmental Science, Climate Science, Ecology, or a closely related field.
• Proficient in Python or R for research, modeling or data analysis.
• Deep subject matter expertise in climate modeling, ecology, sustainability, or environmental systems.
• Exceptionally clear written communicator with a sharp eye for accuracy and detail.
• Self-directed and comfortable working independently in an asynchronous environment.
• Fluent in English and based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Design, solve, and review advanced environmental science problems with real-world relevance and scientific rigor.
• Apply expertise in climate modeling, ecology, sustainability, or related disciplines to create complex problem statements.
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, depth, and clarity.
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to enhance AI model reasoning.
• Ensure all deliverables meet high standards of scientific integrity and communicative precision.
