Alignerr is seeking a Data Scientist (Masters) to act as an AI Data Trainer. The role focuses on designing advanced data science challenges and authoring gold-standard solutions that guide AI models to reason more effectively.

You will audit AI-generated code, identify reasoning failures, and provide structured feedback to improve model thinking. Remote, hourly contract with flexible 10–40 hours/week, suitable for researchers and practitioners with strong statistical and ML foundations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a Masters or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a quantitative field.
• Strong knowledge across core areas—supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, statistical inference.
• Experience with big data technologies like Spark and Hadoop is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design Advanced Challenges — Create complex, domain-specific data science problems spanning ML topics.
• Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step solutions with Python/R scripts, SQL queries, and derivations.
• Audit AI-Generated Code — Evaluate AI outputs using Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow for correctness and efficiency.
• Identify Reasoning Failures — Document logical errors and data issues to sharpen model thinking.
• Improve Model Reasoning — Outline failure modes and edge cases for robust AI systems.
