Job summary

Atlassian is seeking a Lead Designer to guide the evolution of our identity system across a growing portfolio. You will be a hands-on leader, shaping core brand elements and ensuring consistency across digital and print platforms.

You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, manage cross‑functional teams, and extend brand influence into new territories while embracing AI-driven tools to enhance creative output.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in brand/design at scale.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary projects and teams.
• Deep expertise in identity elements: typography, color, layout, grid, hierarchy, iconography, imagery.
• Experience building design systems for brands with scalable implementation.

Responsibilities

• Shape and evolve the Atlassian brand system across a growing portfolio.
• Lead brand systems projects from brief to delivery, directing designers, art directors and copywriters.
• Be the main point of contact for leadership, clients, and agency partners; align goals and manage feedback.
• Partner with design teams to connect brand and product systems into a coherent experience.
• Extend the brand into new territories, developing product and sub-brands with strategy and marketing.
• Turn brand guidance into AI-ready tokens, specs and assets for teams to use.
• Define how AI is used in brand work, setting standards and maintaining quality.
