Job summary

Atlassian seeks a Lead Product Designer to shape the frontier of AI monetization for itsUsage-Based Pricing & Monetization team. You’ll craft scalable, human-centered experiences that span enterprise SaaS, AI workflows, and admin-facing controls across Jira and Confluence.

You’ll work with product, engineering, and analytics leaders to translate complex data and pricing concepts into intuitive, actionable interfaces that delight customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing complex digital products for enterprise SaaS or data-dense web apps.
• Ability to translate technical, financial, or algorithmic complexity into clear user experiences.
• Leadership of ambiguous platform or zero-to-one initiatives with cross-functional partners.
• Strong execution across user research, IA, interaction design, prototyping, and scalable design systems.
• Case studies showing deep systems thinking, multi-state workflows, and measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Define the multi-year experience strategy for usage controls, budget management, and consumption analytics across administration and billing consoles.
• Architect frameworks for monitoring, allocation, and purchase of AI capabilities alongside core platform features across Jira and Confluence.
• Design end-to-end user journeys for usage forecasting, alerts, budget partitioning, add-on purchasing, and guardrails.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Analytics to ensure cohesive admin and end-user experiences.
• Set benchmarks for complex interaction design with Design Systems to create visualizations, telemetry dashboards, and forecasting tools.
• Mentor senior designers, lead design critiques, and elevate our shared craft across teams.
