Ability Consultants is seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our innovative and supportive team in Australia. You will work with NDIS participants, write and implement plans, and mentor others while contributing to person-centred, evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Passionate about creating freedom and social connection for people with disability.
• Value mutual respect, empathy and collaboration.
• Experience or qualification in psychology, ABA, speech therapy, education, social work or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Meet with NDIS participants to understand goals and needs.
• Collaborate with families, schools, medical and allied health providers.
• Gather data through assessments, observations and interviews.
• Write and implement behaviour support plans and provide coaching.
• Support clients of all ages with diverse disabilities and needs.
• Attend training on positive behaviour support, human rights, trauma and safety.
• Weekly 1-1s with mentor and optional peer supervision sessions.
• As a contractor, opportunity to work from home as needed.
• Support clients in-person and via telepractice.
