Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Back End Developer in Sydney to design, build, and optimize server-side systems and APIs powering AI products. You’ll work on data pipelines, model-serving infra, and scalable microservices handling real-world traffic.

Qualifications

• Proficient in one or more backend languages and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with scalable microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong knowledge of containers, CI/CD, and Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Build scalable server-side architecture for AI workloads.
• Write clean, well-documented, testable code.
• Integrate with databases, queues, cloud services and external APIs.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability as usage grows.
• Collaborate asynchronously with distributed teams across time zones.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in architectural decisions.
• Work independently on task- and project-based assignments.
