Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Software Engineers in Brisbane for a fully remote, flexible hourly contract to help shape AI-generated software. You will write, review, and improve code across languages, provide expert feedback, and design prompts to stress-test AI capabilities.

You’ll work independently with strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ideal candidates have experience in Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, Go, TypeScript, or similar, plus a BS in CS/SE or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Proficient in one or more programming languages listed.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Able to read, write, and reason about code with clarity and precision.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Clear written communication to explain technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across languages and domains.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated code for correctness and efficiency.
• Identify bugs, security issues, and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide structured, detailed feedback explaining why code works or not.
• Design coding prompts and edge-case scenarios to stress-test AI capabilities.
• Compare and rank multiple AI-generated solutions by quality.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
