Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an AML Investigator based in Australia to join an international compliance team. You will investigate suspicious crypto activities, assess money laundering risks, and decide on SAR/STR filings or other regulatory actions while working with global colleagues.

You will use blockchain analytics tools to trace transactions and provide clear investigative reports, contributing to robust AML/CTF and sanctions compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an investigative function, preferably within financial services, cryptocurrency, banking, fintech, or regulatory compliance.
• Experience with AML including CDD/EDD, AML/CTF investigations, sanctions screening, and SAR/STR reporting.
• Familiarity with blockchain analytics tools such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations into unusual or suspicious activities referred to Compliance, ensuring timely case resolution.
• Assess financial crime risks including money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and sanctions violations in digital asset transactions.
• Determine whether cases require SAR/STR submissions or referrals should be closed with justification.
