  • Docker
While this role is primarily backend-focused, we're a small product team and developers occasionally contribute across the broader platform, including web and desktop applications built using technologies such as Nuxt, Vue and Electron.
You do not need to be an expert in those technologies on day one. We're much more interested in finding somebody with strong backend and cloud engineering capability.

What We're Looking For
You'll ideally have experience with many of the following:
Backend & Cloud Development
  • AWS serverless application development.
  • Infrastructure as Code, ideally AWS CDK.
  • API development using GraphQL and/or REST.
  • Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Event-driven architectures.
  • Docker and containerised workloads.
  • Building, maintaining and supporting production systems.
Operational Excellence
We're particularly interested in developers who think beyond implementation and care about how services operate in production.
  • Experience with any of the following will be highly regarded:
  • Monitoring and observability.
  • CloudWatch, Grafana or similar platforms.
  • Structured logging and diagnostics.
  • Application Performance Monitoring (APM).
  • Reliability engineering.
  • Incident investigation and troubleshooting.
  • Resilience and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Operational tooling and platform maturity initiatives.
Additional Experience
Experience with any of the following would be beneficial:
  • Nuxt 3
  • Vue 3
  • Electron
  • WebSockets
  • Real-time systems
  • Third-party integrations
  • Agile software delivery practices
Why Join Us?
  • Build software used at major international events.
  • Work on a platform that has supported Olympic Games and World Championship events.
  • Join a small, highly skilled engineering team.
  • Work with modern AWS cloud technologies.
  • Contribute to architecture and technical decisions.
  • Gain broad exposure across backend services, cloud platforms, integrations and product development.
  • Help shape the future direction of the PV4 platform.
  • Take ownership of systems that deliver real-world outcomes.
  • Work in a team where engineering quality, reliability and continuous improvement are valued.

Work Rights & Location
To be considered for this role:
  • You must have the right to work in Australia.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • You must currently reside in Australia.
  • Brisbane-based candidates are preferred, although applicants from elsewhere in Australia will be considered.

Application Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must:
  • Submit a current resume.
  • Complete the application questions included as part of the recruitment process.
  • Have the right to work in Australia.
  • Be currently based in Australia.
Shortlisted candidates may be invited to participate in interviews and complete a technical assessment designed to evaluate software design, AWS cloud development, infrastructure-as-code capability and engineering decision-making.
We respect candidates' time and only ask shortlisted applicants to complete the technical assessment.

Ready to Apply?
If you're excited by modern AWS serverless development, enjoy working in a small high-performing team, and want to build technology that helps deliver world-class live events, we'd love to hear from you.
