Job summary

Flybuys is seeking an AI Marketing Engineer in Melbourne to transform campaign delivery into an AI-enabled, automated system. You will design, develop and deploy intelligent automation to reduce manual workflows and optimise processes.

Role focuses on building a campaign execution platform, content assembly, personalization, and end-to-end workflow automation, all while ensuring governance and reliability across channels.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years' experience in software engineering, automation engineering, platform engineering or a similar technical role.
• Demonstrated experience designing, building and supporting production software, integrations, APIs, automation workflows or internal platforms.
• Experience with Python, APIs, JSON, SQL and modern software development practices.
• Experience building workflow automation or integrating generative AI capabilities into enterprise processes is highly regarded.
• Ability to work across business and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms, data services, event-driven systems or modern SaaS platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to automation solutions.
• Experience with customer engagement, marketing tech or personalization platforms is desirable.
• Understanding of data privacy, governance, quality assurance and operational risk in production environments.
• Experience working in Agile teams and fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and evolve the execution layer that transforms inputs into scalable outputs.
• Develop reusable components and integrations to support automation strategies.
• Build automated solutions to generate, assemble and personalise campaign content.
• Design scalable personalisation capabilities with dynamic content and templates.
• Engineer end-to-end campaign delivery workflows from brief to launch and identify bottlenecks for automation.
• Ensure outputs are compliant, auditable and production-ready with governance and risk controls.
