Job summary

Employment Hero seeks an Intermediate Accountant to join our remote-first team in Australia. You will work with the Financial Control team to shape accurate reporting, automate processes, and strengthen internal controls.

You’ll split time between month-end close and technical project work, lead AI-driven improvements, train the finance team, and ensure robust balance sheets and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Public practice experience (Intermediate or Senior).
• CA or CPA qualified (or near completion).
• 3+ years of Financial or Management Accounting experience.
• Experience with NetSuite and Zuora is highly regarded.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and data reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close processes, including revenue reconciliations and balance sheet substantiation.
• Own balance sheet reconciliations and substantiation across areas of responsibility.
• Investigate variances against budget and prior period with commentary to Finance Manager.
• Review and post credit requests to support AR function.
• Maintain and implement the finance tech stack; lead AI-driven improvements to controls.
• Partner with IT, Marketing and other teams for cost reporting and allocations.
