Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking an Accountant Team Leader based in Australia to lead a remote accounting team. You will combine hands-on accounting with technical review, client management, and advisory support to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with Australian regulations.

You will mentor staff, review work, and drive improvements in processes and technology while maintaining high standards of accuracy and client service.

Qualifications

• At least five years of accounting experience in a relevant environment.
• Experience supervising, mentoring, or leading an accounting team.
• Strong knowledge of Australian accounting principles and taxation regulations.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns, BAS, and other reports.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of accountants and professionals.
• Oversee financial reporting, tax compliance, BAS, and accounting workflows.
• Review financial statements, reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
• Manage client relationships and provide practical accounting guidance.
• Identify and mitigate accounting discrepancies and compliance risks.
• Drive process improvements and technology adoption in workflows.
• Coordinate year-end accounting and tax preparation activities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Australian accounting standards and regulations.
