Better Health Company is seeking an Aboriginal Health Coach to deliver phone-based health coaching across Australia. The role supports families and adults with advice on healthy eating, physical activity, and reducing screen time, anchored in national guidelines.

You will build trusted relationships, contribute to program training, and help ensure resources are culturally safe and relevant. The position is flexible: remote from anywhere in Australia or on-site in Abbotsford, VIC, with options

Qualifications

• Identifies as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
• Qualification in a health field (e.g., Bachelor of Nutrition, Exercise Science, Nursing, Health Promotion, or similar).
• Ability to build strong relationships with diverse people.
• Good time management and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to obtain Working with Children Check and Police check.

Responsabilités

• Deliver phone-based health coaching and support services.
• Provide practical advice on healthy eating, moving more, and reducing screen time per health guidelines.
• Help families set small, lasting goals and track progress.
• Engage with communities and stakeholders to strengthen relationships.
• Share knowledge to keep training culturally relevant for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal staff.
• Advise on Aboriginal cultural and community matters.
• Assist with follow-ups, data entry, and promotional activities.
• Participate in training and quality improvement to grow skills.
• Create and adapt resources to be culturally safe for Aboriginal families.
