Job summary

St Catherine Labouré Catholic Primary School Gymea seeks a highly capable Religious Education Coordinator to shape Catholic life, vision and strategic direction within the school. The role leads Religious Education, liturgies, and curriculum development in collaboration with parish and school leadership.

The successful candidate will be a Baptised Catholic committed to Catholic identity, able to drive change, and capable of working across stakeholders to plan and implement Catholic education

Qualifications

• Graduate Diploma or Master of Religious Education, Theology or Theological Studies from an approved institution.
• Category E Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead or agreement to meet in first contract term.
• Ability to demonstrate the standard descriptors at lead teacher level per Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
• Postgraduate units of study in leadership are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the teaching and learning of Religious Education and the wider religious dimension of the school.
• Lead preparation of liturgies and celebrations and curriculum development/differentiation.
• Demonstrate contemporary pedagogy and lead change to improve student learning.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, collaborate across stages, and analyse data to inform planning.
