Job summary

St Gertrude's Catholic Primary School Smithfield NSW is seeking a Religious Education Coordinator to lead the teaching and learning of Religious Education and shape the school's Catholic life as part of the senior leadership team.

The successful candidate will be a committed Catholic with leadership experience, able to develop liturgies, align curriculum with Australian standards, work with priests and parish, and contribute to data-informed planning.

Qualifications

• A committed Catholic with understanding of Catholic schooling mission.
• Evidence of study toward graduate qualifications in religious education or theology.
• Ability to lead curriculum development and liturgies.
• Meet Accreditation Policy requirements and teachers standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead teaching and learning of Religious Education and the school’s religious dimension.
• Shape Catholic life, vision and strategic direction as part of the senior leadership team.
• Lead liturgies, celebrations and curriculum differentiation.
• Communicate with stakeholders and collaborate across stages; use data for planning.
