Job summary

SARGEANT TRANSPORT is seeking a flexible and experienced Transport Operations professional to join as relief planner/supervisor. You will provide annual leave coverage, move between planning, supervision and operations, and plan loads to keep freight moving.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving and accuracy in paperwork and systems. You’ll support drivers, customers and subcontractors, monitor performance, and adapt to changing rosters and shifts, including occasional night or

Qualifications

• Transport operations experience.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized with great attention to detail.
• Comfortable working across different shifts and teams.
• Ignition and Translogix experience preferred.
• Basic Fatigue Management accreditation (training can be provided).

Responsibilities

• Provide annual leave coverage across Operations Planning and Supervision.
• Move between roles and teams depending on operational requirements.
• Plan loads, allocate jobs and keep freight moving.
• Monitor drivers, loads and service performance.
• Re-plan when things change and solve issues quickly.
• Support drivers, customers, subcontractors and the wider operations team.
• Maintain high standards of safety, fatigue management and compliance.
• Keep systems, paperwork and operational information accurate.
