Job summary

City of Boroondara is seeking a casual relief Library Officer to provide friendly customer service across our library sites in Melbourne's inner east. Availability varies with shifts across weekdays and weekends, and periods of school holidays or public holidays may be required.

Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, comfort with consumer technology, and flexibility to manage changing priorities. Right to work in Australia and Working with Children checks are usually required.

Qualifications

• VCE or equivalent and the right to work in Australia.
• Ability to safely lift, push and carry library resources.
• Preferred applicants must hold a Working with Children Clearance and complete police and medical checks.
• A current driver’s licence is advantageous.

• $36.52 per hour (plus 25% casual loading)

Join Boroondara Library Service as a casual relief Library Officer, delivering friendly customer service across our library sites.

Hours are not guaranteed. You'll need strong interpersonal and customer service skills, confidence with consumer technology, and flexibility to manage changing priorities.

Availability Shifts may be offered weekdays (8am-9.15pm), Saturdays (9.30am-5.15pm), Sundays (12.30pm-5.15pm), and during school holidays, and public holiday periods.
