Job summary

Aegis Aged Care Group is seeking two experienced Relief Chefs to provide support across our North of the River and South of the River facilities. You will work under the Chef Manager and help ensure high-quality meals.

Your role includes training and mentoring cooks, organizing kitchen staff, and preparing meals according to dietary plans. Aged Care experience and food safety knowledge are highly valued. Applicants must have full Australian working rights and pass a police clearance.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• Experience in food preparation for large numbers of people.
• Aged Care experience highly preferred.
• High level of food safety knowledge.
• Full Australian working rights and ability to pass police clearance.

Responsibilities

• Relief Chef for North of the River facilities and South of the River facilities, supporting the Chef Manager.
• Train and mentor cooks; assist Central Office projects and tasks as required.
• Organise kitchen staff in preparation and serving of meals.
• Prepare residents' meals according to dietary plans and menus.
• Manage receipt of stores and food storage per regulations.
• Ensure correct food handling techniques at all times.
