Regis is seeking qualified Chefs to join our aged care kitchens across Queensland. This role focuses on premium meal services, menu planning, ordering, and ensuring quality and safety standards in high-volume facilities.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in commercial catering or aged care, and hold Cert III/IV in Commercial Cookery. A proactive, team‑oriented mindset supports resident wellbeing and dining excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in Aged Care (preferred) - Two years of Full-time experience within Aged Care is preferred or broader catering experience from commercial catering in high volume is desired.
• Qualification (Cert III/IV in Commercial Cookery) and/or experience working as a Chef in Aged Care would be advantageous but not necessary.
• Trade Qualifications and experience and understanding of special dietary needs.
• Understand the impact of food cost management.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement
• Exceptional customer service mindset
• Strong personal presentation and grooming skills
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

Responsabilités

• Supervision and delivery of premium meal service including menu planning, catering, infrastructure management, ordering, quality service delivery, service delivery improvement.
• Manage compliance related to food safety, WHS and quality.
• Leading and motivating the team and be part of recruitment and training of team members
• Stock control and ordering
• Resident dietary management
• Kitchen and food cost management
• Production and delivery of high-quality meals
• Service excellence around all aspects of the dining experience
• Communicate with residents and families and document the need of residents if required.
• Provide management and guidance to the kitchen staff, ensuring a smooth operation.
