Glencore's McArthur River Mine Reliability Mechanical Engineer role focuses on improving asset reliability and equipment health. You will steer condition monitoring programs, predictive maintenance, and risk management to maximise plant availability and cost efficiency.
You will lead reliability projects, collaborate with operations, mentor engineers, and ensure safety and environmental standards are upheld in a dynamic mining environment.
Glencore’s McArthur River Mine (MRM) is a world-class zinc-lead mine with a strong future. Located in the Gulf of Carpentaria, approximately 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola, we produce and process zinc, lead, and silver from our open-cut operation. Our products are transported to our Bing Bong loading facility and shipped globally, playing a crucial role in essential commodities used for mobility, infrastructure, and communications.
Reporting to the Senior Reliability Engineer, the role supports the Maintenance Reliability team in achieving safety, reliability, availability, and cost-effectiveness targets. The role focuses on analysing equipment, components, and processes to identify reliability improvement opportunities, optimise asset performance, reduce downtime, and implement practical solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support reliable plant performance.
At MRM, we support the Northern Territory first, and Territorian applicants or those prepared to relocate.
