Job summary

Palm Lake Care Bargara is seeking a Food Services Assistant to join our team on a casual basis, across a range of shifts throughout the day, including weekends with penalty rates.

You will report to the Chef Manager and play a key role in preparing and presenting nutritious meals for our residents, while upholding high hygiene and food safety standards in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Motivated individuals focused on providing the best support for our residents.
• A current National Police Check is required.
• Prior experience in a similar role within Aged Care is essential.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to duties.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and take initiative.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a proactive support role to the cook.
• Excellent hygiene standards and knowledge of Food Safety Standards.

Responsibilities

• The preparation of serving nutritious and attractive meals to residents.
• Work with the Cook to ensure meals are plated and presented well.
• Understand and respect residents' preferences and serve accordingly.
• Serve and distribute morning and afternoon teas.
• Assist the Cook with ordering and rotating food stocks.
• Clean dishes after each meal to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Deliver excellent customer service to residents and their families.

Position Details

Palm Lake Care Bargara is seeking Food Service Assistants to join our team on a Casual basis, working across a range of shifts throughout the day.

Weekend shifts also available with penalty rates.

Responsibilities

As a Food Services Assistant you will report directly to the Chef Manager and be an integral part of the team responsible for

• The preparation of serving nutritious and attractive meals to our residents


• Working with the Cook to ensure meals are plated and presented in an attractive and appeasing manner.


• Understanding and respecting our resident's preferences and ensuring all food and beverage is served accordingly.


• Serving and distribution of morning and afternoon teas


• Assisting the Cook with the ordering and rotating of food stocks


• The cleaning of dishes after each meal ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is maintained for our residents.


• Delivering excellent customer service to our residents and their families

What We’re Looking For
