Job summary

JBS Dinmore is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join the Maintenance team in southeast Queensland. You will analyse equipment performance, drive improvements in asset reliability and lead root cause investigations to reduce downtime.

You will support shutdowns, maintenance planning, and condition monitoring programs while ensuring accurate CMMS records and collaboration with site teams to boost plant availability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related field.
• Experience in reliability or maintenance engineering roles.
• Knowledge of RCM and asset management practices.
• Experience with root cause analysis and reliability improvements.
• Familiarity with preventive/predictive/condition-based maintenance and CMMS.

Job description

At JBS Dinmore, we are seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our Maintenance team and play a key role in improving equipment performance, reducing downtime and increasing asset reliability across one of Australia's largest manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will work closely with maintenance and production teams to analyse equipment performance, maintenance data and failure trends, identifying practical opportunities to improve plant availability and efficiency.

You will lead root cause investigations, implement corrective actions and optimise preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to maximise asset performance throughout the equipment lifecycle. The role will also involve supporting shutdowns, maintenance planning, condition monitoring programs, capital projects and equipment commissioning activities, while maintaining accurate records within CMMS systems.

Success in this position will come from your ability to drive measurable reliability improvements, support safe and cost-effective production outcomes, and work collaboratively across the site to improve equipment effectiveness, asset health and operational performance.

About You

• Degree qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or a related Engineering discipline
• Experience in a Reliability Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Asset Engineer or similar role
• Strong understanding of reliability-centred maintenance (RCM) principles and asset management practices
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing reliability improvements
• Knowledge of preventive, predictive and condition-based maintenance programs
• Experience using CMMS and maintenance management systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Ability to work effectively within a large-scale manufacturing, food processing, mining, heavy industrial or processing environment
